Im a fairly new snowboarder, but have decided to take the plunge and buy my own. Does this sound okay?

sounds good. Ride is a good brand of boards, and K2 make reliable gear. As a suggestion, try and buy bindings with toe-caps which is a strap that pulls and binds the toe from the front instead of from the top of the foot. If you don't understand just ask a snowboard salesman for help

Reply:i agree with the guy above. Ride does make some pretty nice boards and k2 normally has some reliable stuff but deff. see if you can invest a little more for toe-caps. I find them to be more responsive and just feel good. also, check out thirtytwo for boots. they have some of the nicest,lightest boots around.





for more info about the toe-cap strap binding check out a couple of boarding websites or just hit up old faithful google. i know burtons toe caps do perform a little nicer then others so you could give them a shot (little pricier but well worth it if your hearts into boarding)
