Snowboard Question?

I am about 5'3" tall and 110 pounds. What size snowboard is appropriate? I am just starting to learn but I hope to progress pretty fast.

Also, I already bought a brand new Ride Vista snowboard for $150, brand new Ride Lxh bindings for $50, and brand new Salomon Linea boots for $50 at Sports Authority. Is this a good deal?

I am just beginning so I wanted some more opinions.

Snowboard Question?
A 140 would be way too small.

I am your size, and I ride anywhere between a 148 and a 151.

A 148 will be easier for you to learn on.

Good luck, I love seeing more chicks who want to progress in the sport!
Reply:You will likely be fine on a 140 or 142. You can always go a bit smaller or longer if you like. Shorter boards are easier to learn on but go too short and you will need to replace it once you get good at turning. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on your new equipment - a bit late to be asking what size you need isn't it? Have fun riding your new board!
Reply:For an all mountain board go for around a 148, for freeride around a 150 for freestyle around a 146. The Vista is an All mountain board so ideally if your going by the book you have gone for one around the 148 mark. Good luck with the riding.
Reply:im 5'1 and i have a 144

so a 144 or a little bit longer.

the board should come up to about your lips/nose
Reply:As long as the board is a little smaller than you it's fine and those deals you got for your snowboards are great because some boards cost around 200-300$
