Do you think I should wear this to my horse show?

In April, I'm having a horse show, It's western, and I just want to know what you think of the outfit...

Shirt...

Maybe black chaps

Boots (somewhat like this)...

and a pair of black boys' jeans.

My horse I'm riding is a redish/brown on white paint horse. And I have VERY dark hair, and a somewhat petit body style, o what would you think?

Do you think I should wear this to my horse show?
The blouse is beautiful, but this show had better be a big important show, otherwise, you will look sort of out of place wearing something that is usually reserved for world shows... A good hat, chaps and boots are more important than anything, and those boots are totally outdated...and no to the boys jeans, that's why they call they boy's jeans, they are for boys. I think that it would serve you well to attend some horse shows and see what they are wearing.
Reply:I think it will look good!
Reply:That looks beautiful. I do love the shirt. The colour is stunning. I am sure you will look great.
Reply:i think it would be fine. but as for wearing boys' jeans, don't because it will look bad/ silly/ terrible and it most likely won't fit you cuz girls have hips and guys don't. buy jeans like "wrangler" or something. or jeans sold at your tack shop.
Reply:Well , it really depends on what type of show it is , some shows require certain outfits , i would just check that out and make sure your outfit fits those requirments ! Like over here , we have to wear a slinky and a vest . Its not the best looking style , but it works !

Maybe some navy blue would go better with your hair , but thats just a suggestion ! :]]

Hope i helped,

Reply:Thats a really nice shirt! With dark hair I think you would look phenomonal! Good luck at the show!
Reply:ya that would look ok .....i think that a bright medium blue always looks good on the redish color horses but hey in the end ...its your oppinion that counts!

good luck at the show!!!!
Reply:Pretty good start-up! Don't forget your hat! Usually matches your chaps. And make sure your saddle blanket don't clash with your outfit!

Good Luck!

Oh yeah, don't where dangling earrings and wear your hair up. Any movement is negative when being judged!
Reply:Yeah, I think that would look good...what class are you riding in? That also makes a difference on what you where too.
Reply:Yes that sounds fine you don't even have to buy a fancy shirt like that a casual button up will work fine and if you want bedazzle it by yourself and also don't forget to wear a helmet and belt.

Good LUCK!
Reply:You will look fantastic. :]
Reply:LOVE the design on the shirt!!!

Just some links to check out on show clothes and the HH color wheel...which is great info on show clothes and color coordinating with your horse.

You have great taste and are definitely on the right track with your show clothes!!!!

You might want to consider Justin Ropers for your boots and Hobby Horse show pants....boy's jeans won't be fancy enough for the blouse that you've chosen.
Reply:I think it's very nice, sort of like what i wore to my western halter class, though i am now a showjumper. I wore jeans to my show, but black pants seem a good idea as well. good luck!!:)
Reply:Not that top, that top is way too generic, I've seen that style so many times its not funny. heres some tops that are cheaper and a cooler style

http://hobbyhorseinc.com/07_broken_heart... this one, is a nice different style top. the pink would really bring out you and your horse.

http://hobbyhorseinc.com/07_broken_heart... same reason, 3 quarter length tops are in style

http://hobbyhorseinc.com/07_broken_heart... this one is a loud style top. That would look neat since your horse is a redish color. I wouldn't go with this one first though.

don't wear jeans. Get a pair of dress pants, it'll help your chaps look nice, its a slimming outfit and for halter and showmanship it makes you look more professional
Reply:Yeah, I think that would look good.

I think you should look into Hobby Horse's show pants, they are a little 'better' then jeans, and not too expensive ($48 I believe), but black jeans would work too.

Good luck.
