Will it get ride of the smell but damage my shoes . 10 points to best answer!?

OK so i have this paire of i think suede or leather timberland boots (like 12 inches i think) and they smell on the inside(cuse of my feet ....i think) .I was wondering if i spry them with perfum (on the inside ) if it would make the smell go away ? Or would it ruin my shoes ? If u have any advice i would love it (or produces , somthin like that) . Thanx!

I have to agree with ^^^^ --- perfume will just add to the smell. You should put something in the shoe that will absorb the odor, not simply mask it. One very cheap thing that will do the trick is baking soda. Sprinkle that in the shoes, then put them in a plastic bag for a couple days. The powder should brush off easily later.
Reply:Perfume masks odor it does not eliminate it so you will have the stinky foot smell plus the perfume smell....

Try Fa-breeze (spray in and let it dry completely before wearing again).. Odor Eaters boot spray...

Get some Odor Eaters in-soles..

If your feet smell so badly get them checked out you could have a fungal infection that's causing the smell...
Reply:Ya, don't put any perfume on it because first of all it will combine with the smell thats in the inside of your show and it will stink even more, second of all it will damage the shoes I messed up a ton of shoes doing that if you want to get rid of the smell just buy the proper spray to get rid of it don't use perfume, deoderant, anything else exept for the proper spray :)
Reply:try a fabric softener sheet
Reply:Don't use perfume then it will smell like eu de feet! Try Fabreeze or odor eaters.
Reply:I suggest you spray your boots liberally with Febreze. Wipe out the inside with paper towels, and spray again. It should remove the odor...and keep your feet dry and clean.
Reply:Put baking soda in them or odor eaters.
Reply:Purfume just mingles with bad scent, so it smells like feet and purfume together. Spray inside your shoes with oust or febreeze. And depending on what material is inside the shoe, next time you wear them, sprinkle some baby powder on the inside.. it prevents odor.
Reply:I'm not exactly sure if it will destroy your shoes but i know it wont help. What you can do is get a "boot blaster". I bought them at a can-ex (military convenience store). I'm not sure if you can get them in the U.S. Good luck.
Reply:it will make the smell worse but you could try a oxyball
Reply:I am an avid hiker, and I find that if you tie the shoes up in a plastic bag from the grocery store with a little container of baking soda in there with them and then put in the freezer over night the smell will go away. But dont spray them with perfume, it just makes the smell worse and it will ruin the shoes.
Reply:Perfumes and colognes have oils in them that will stain your shoes, do not use them. You can buy some cedar chips or a cedar forms for your shoes, that will remove odor or talk to your shoe repair person.
Reply:It will deff make the smell worse.... try finding somthing that will make the smell go away with like fabreez or a strong perfuime....
