Dressage and Jumping Clothing??

I want to get into more shows this year i have ridden for 8 years and want to get a real wardrobe put together!!! What type of brands for breeches, coats, boots, chaps, ect. do you like? I want something good and durable but i do have somewhat of a price limit! Thanks!!!

Dressage and Jumping Clothing??
For schooling, I really like On Course's Cotton Naturals breeches (or maybe they're tights, I don't recall.) They come in full seat and knee patch, and are VERY comfortable and stretchy. On sale at Dover, they are about $30. They have an elastic waist, and they come up to your actual waist - normally I absolutely cannot stand that sort of thing for one second, but they are so stretchy and soft that it doesn't interefere with or bother me whatsoever.

Ariat paddock boots and tall boots are the cheapest you will find that are still great quality. Again, Dover's sale catalogs have them for good prices. Ariat makes half chaps that "go with" their paddock boots, but I don't really think you absolutely need to get a "set" in order for it to match.

As for coats, check State Line Tack. They are usually cheaper than Dover.

EDIT: No prob, any time. Get on the Dover and State Line Tack mailing lists; they will send you all their sale catalogs.
Reply:For Dressage You'll need some quality high waisted full seat white, cream or ivory breeches - Cavello, Pikuer or Kentucky are best but Dublin %26amp; Equetech make some very nice ones for under £50.00.

Jacket wise a wool black or navy jacket would be good.Caldene do some lovely well fitted ones that aren't silly money.

Black tall boots - Mountain Horse or Ariat

Silk stock (same colour as your jodhpurs) or tie %26amp; show shirt.

Show Jumping you can be a bit flashier go for the Navy Jackets with the fancy gold braid. 4 way strech flexible white jods or breeches. Musto %26amp; Ariat makes real good ones.

Hope this helps good luck in your competitions
Reply:it really depends what your discipline is. Essex makes really nice ratcatchers for hunter/equitation/showjumping ($90-$100), Grand Prix makes some nice hunt coats (all around $500-$700, buy a couple so you have some variety) and they also make some white breeches. definitely buy Tailored Sportsman breeches, they are well made and last a long time. they are all between $100 and $300, buy a few pairs. they're super comfortable, too.
