Snowboard questions?

so im looking into buying a board, i am a female with a little experience. i found a resonable priced mens board(a burton bullet) and i was wondering if i can wear wmns boots in the mens bindings or put wmns bindings on a mens board? i just want an comfortable ride any suggestions? ive been reading reviews on this particular board and it sounds like a good one for me its just the boots and bindings thing im worried about. I know the bindings differ in gender but can i physically change the bindings or should it be fine with the mens? THANKS in advance!

You can change the bindings to women's if your boots dont fit in the men's. Sometimes men bindings are much bigger than women's. you'd have to check and see if your boots work in them. If not, then yes you can change the bindings on a men's board to womens. I have a men's board myself with womens bindings and boots and it works perfectly.

Good luck!
Reply:Yeah, you can probably put womens bindings on that board.

Just make sure the board (from the tip to the tail and standing up) is somewhere between your chin and your nose. Most people say that is how you find out if that is the right board. You dont want to end up getting a board that is taller than you because you probably will have a harder time controling it. Since you have little experience, you should get a womens board or a shorter mens board (something that is at or a little above/below chin level) That way you will have more control over the board.
Reply:You could put women's bindings on a mens board, but I'm not sure that that's a good idea. I'm not sure how big you are or what size shoe you wear, so I may be wrong and it may be the perfect board for you. I'd ask at a shop anyway. I looked at the Bullet 154 and it's nearly 2 cm wider than the average women's board. Having a board that's too wide for you will be more difficult to turn since it will be hard to put the right amount of weight on the edge. It's best to ask at the shop and get them to compare a women's binding against this board.
Reply:Yes u can interchange womens snowboard equipment with mens. But i recommend just buying an all womans set up it will make a big difference for u on the mountain. If ur looking for a bargain that's fine but u shud spend a bit more money and get a womans board it makes more sense.
Reply:yeah u can probably put womens binding on that board
Reply:You can put any bindings and boots with any board pretty much. I have a girls Forum board and use guys Drake bindings on them with girls boots. No issues at all.

The only thing you might run up against riding the Bullet is that it's probably going to ride differently than a girls board because it's wider and less flexible. Both of those things will make it a bit harder to turn and carve because it'll demand more force from you for the same actions on a softer or girls board.
