This may sound silly in september but halloween costumes for horses?

well my plan is to ride my horse down the street on halloween and go trick or treating but early like when the sun is still out and go up and down my road its not that big but i'm 12 any kind of costume is ok i just need 2 put jeans under it i can have like shoes 2 change into or like high heeld cow girly boots i want cute and appropreate for a 7th grader kinda hot clothes and i need an idea for my horse shes an light light gray appy w/ gray dapples and shes 14.2 hands %26amp; wide i was thinkin of that girl from zorro and another horse but any links or ideas would b GREAT i no it's early but i want to get it or make it [im not the best at making things but little easy things ] so theres time 2 return it if it dosen't fit her please help me..

There's a benefit ride here on Halloween and they encourage people to dress up with their horses. I have a white horse and thought he could be the Lone Ranger and I could be Tonto! LOL





Since your horse is grey....you could be the fairy girl from the Lord of the Rings and the horse could be Shadowfax.





You could get a large pair of jeans from the GoodWill store and put them on the horse and use some bailing twine to hold them up. I saw that on a camping trail ride a few years back. Then you could dress to match.





Or the horse could be the bride (with a veil) and you could be the groom!
Reply:okay firstly you HAVE to make sure your horse is happy about being dressed up like a doll? horses can get easily spooked by rustling and things tickling their skin.





if i was to do anything i would make her like a huge necklace with a small plastic pumpkin on the end. and maybee put a small cloak over her mane/neck





but remember shes a horse not a small child!
